Developing System Dynamic Model for the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer (ESPA) Working with Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR), a system dynamic model being developed to better manage the ESPA under uncertain future climate. Various management options and planning alternatives will be identified to minimize impacts driven by future climate change and to pursue adaptive management strategies for reliable agricultural productivity in the state of Idaho.

Developing Seasonal Predictive Capability for Drought Mitigation Decision Support System (DSS)
A state-of-the-art forecast tool in the Decision Support System (DSS) is utilized to improve seasonal drought predictive capability using Earth Science Models, such as GMAO, CFS, CAM, CWRF, and NARR. The research focus on providing real-time decision support information regarding "what to do now" and "when to wait and see"

Drought Information System for National Drought Disaster Reduction
Drought continues to result in significant economic, social, and environmental impacts, not only in developing countries, but also in developed countries, such as United States and South Korea. This research will promote drought knowledge networks and collaboration to share data, information, technologies, tools and good practices on drought disaster reduction, mitigation and preparedness. Working with international collaborators in Korea, the National Drought Midigation Center and W3R2 group supports to build the initial nation-wide drought monitoring system and shares sound technologies and tools learned from previous successful practices worldwide.
